Ode to the Le Creuset Dutch Oven
My partner and I were each in graduate school and shockingly poor, yet one day woke early to spend money we did not have on a Le Creuset Signature Round Dutch Oven.
Over the last 25 years, I would guess that we have used our dutch oven around 300 days per year. It is bruised and battered from moves and neglect and still holds even heat and treats our food with respect. Perfect rice with a crispy bottom. Velvety mushrooms and shallots. It is flawless.
There is no doubt that we will be with our dutch oven until death do us part and I suspect it will serve our children and our children’s children just as well.
